Last updated: October 19, 2026

Welcome to The Sending Stone!

We're glad you're here. The Sending Stone is dedicated to bringing people together through tabletop gaming, creativity, and community. Whether you're building your next Magic: The Gathering deck, preparing for a tabletop adventure, or discovering a new board game, we want your experience to be enjoyable, transparent, and trustworthy.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, online store, and related services.

Please read them carefully before using our website or making a purchase.

1. Overview

This website is operated by The Sending Stone LLC, a business based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Throughout these Terms, "The Sending Stone," "we," "us," and "our" refer to The Sending Stone LLC.

By accessing our website at https://thesendingstone.com, creating an account, purchasing merchandise, or otherwise using our online services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of our services.

We reserve the right to update these Terms as our business evolves. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.

2. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities

You must be legally capable of entering into a purchase agreement, or have the authorization of a parent or legal guardian, to make purchases through our website.

If you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.

  • Notify us of suspected unauthorized account activity.

  • Use our services for lawful purposes.

You are responsible for activity occurring through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We may suspend or restrict accounts involved in fraud, abuse, or material violations of these Terms.

3. Products and Availability

The Sending Stone offers tabletop games, trading cards, collectibles, accessories, hobby supplies, and related merchandise.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images, prices, and availability information are accurate.

However:

  • Product colors and appearances may vary slightly from photographs.

  • Manufacturing specifications and packaging may change.

  • Inventory availability may change without notice.

  • Some collectible products may differ in condition or presentation as disclosed in their listings.

We reserve the right to correct material errors in product information and to limit quantities where reasonably necessary.

If an error or inventory issue affects an existing order, we will contact you and provide appropriate options, including cancellation and a refund where applicable.

4. Orders and Acceptance

Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products.

An automatic order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order but does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted for fulfillment.

Orders are subject to payment authorization, product availability, and fraud prevention checks.

We may decline or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including:

  • Unavailable inventory.

  • Material pricing or listing errors.

  • Suspected fraudulent transactions.

  • Shipping restrictions.

  • Violations of applicable law.

If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will issue a full refund for the canceled items, including applicable shipping and taxes, within the timeframe required by law.

We will not substitute materially different products without your consent.

5. Pricing and Payments

Unless otherwise stated, prices are displayed in United States dollars (USD).

Prices may change without notice, but price changes will not apply retroactively to accepted orders.

Applicable sales taxes, shipping charges, and other disclosed fees will be calculated during checkout.

Payment is required using one of our accepted payment methods.

Our checkout and payment services are supported by third-party payment processors, including Shopify and its payment partners.

You agree to provide accurate billing and payment information and authorize the charges associated with purchases you make.

If a payment is declined or cannot be processed, we may be unable to fulfill your order.

6. Shipping and Fulfillment

The Sending Stone fulfills orders through a combination of our own inventory, distribution partners, and third-party suppliers.

Certain items may ship directly from manufacturers or fulfillment partners. This arrangement is commonly known as dropshipping.

As a result:

  • Items in the same order may arrive in separate packages.

  • Shipping origins and carriers may vary.

  • Processing and delivery times may differ between products.

  • Certain customized or made-to-order products may require additional processing time.

Shipping charges and available delivery methods will be disclosed at checkout.

Estimated delivery dates are provided in good faith but are not guarantees unless expressly identified as guaranteed delivery services.

If we cannot ship an order within the stated timeframe, we will notify you and provide your legally required options, including the opportunity to cancel and obtain a refund.

If no shipping timeframe is specified, we will comply with applicable shipping-time requirements.

Please refer to our separate Shipping Policy for additional information.

7. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase.

Most eligible merchandise may be returned within 30 calendar days of delivery, subject to the conditions in our Return & Refund Policy.

Returned merchandise generally must be unused, in its original condition, and accompanied by its original packaging and components.

Certain merchandise has additional restrictions, including:

  • Individual trading cards.

  • Opened trading card booster products.

  • Personalized or custom-made items.

  • Merchandise clearly designated as Final Sale.

These restrictions apply to change-of-mind returns and do not eliminate remedies for damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially misrepresented products.

Customers are generally responsible for shipping costs on voluntary returns. The Sending Stone covers reasonable return shipping costs where an item is verified to be defective, incorrect, or damaged due to a fulfillment issue.

For complete eligibility criteria and procedures, please review our Return & Refund Policy.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

8. Trading Cards and Collectible Merchandise

Trading cards and collectible merchandise may have characteristics that affect their market value, including condition, rarity, printing, edition, and authenticity.

We make reasonable efforts to describe collectible products accurately.

Individual trading card listings may specify condition grades, such as Near Mint, Lightly Played, Moderately Played, Heavily Played, or Damaged.

Because grading contains an element of subjective judgment, minor differences in condition assessment may occur.

Nevertheless, if a product is materially misrepresented, counterfeit, incorrectly identified, or substantially different from its description, customers may contact us for review and appropriate resolution.

Market prices for collectibles may fluctuate over time. A change in market value after purchase does not, by itself, qualify an item for a refund or price adjustment.

Products identified as used, pre-owned, or open-box are sold according to their disclosed condition.

9. Promotions, Discounts, and Special Offers

We may periodically offer promotions, discount codes, bundles, rewards, or other special pricing.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Promotions are subject to the terms disclosed with the offer.

  • Discount codes may have expiration dates and eligibility restrictions.

  • Multiple discounts may not be combined.

  • Offers may be limited to qualifying products or customers.

  • Promotional inventory may be limited.

We reserve the right to discontinue future promotions or correct material promotional errors.

Promotional restrictions will not be applied retroactively to accepted orders in a manner inconsistent with applicable law.

10. Preorders, Special Orders, and Custom Products

Certain products may be available for preorder, special order, or custom production.

When applicable, estimated availability dates and material ordering conditions will be disclosed before purchase.

Production and release schedules may change.

If a preorder or special order is delayed, we will communicate material changes and provide cancellation or refund options as required by law.

Custom or personalized merchandise may be nonreturnable for change-of-mind reasons when that restriction is clearly disclosed before purchase.

Defective, incorrect, or materially misrepresented custom products remain eligible for applicable remedies.

11. Events and Reservations

The Sending Stone may offer tabletop gaming events, tournaments, workshops, reservations, and other community activities.

Where these services are available for purchase online, additional event-specific terms may apply.

Such terms may include registration requirements, age restrictions, participation rules, cancellation deadlines, and refund eligibility.

Any material event-specific conditions will be disclosed before purchase.

Our merchandise Return & Refund Policy does not automatically govern event tickets or reservations.

Event participation may also be subject to applicable venue policies and community conduct standards.

12. Acceptable Use

We welcome customers and community members who use our services respectfully and lawfully.

You agree not to:

  • Engage in fraudulent purchases or payment activity.

  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or customer information.

  • Distribute malware or interfere with website operations.

  • Exploit vulnerabilities in our website or checkout systems.

  • Impersonate another person or business.

  • Submit knowingly false or deceptive information.

  • Use our services to violate applicable laws or the rights of others.

  • Engage in abusive, threatening, or harassing communications with our team or other users.

We may take proportionate action in response to violations, including restricting access, canceling fraudulent transactions, or reporting unlawful activity.

13. Intellectual Property

The Sending Stone's original website content, branding, logos, photography, graphics, written materials, and other original creative works are owned by The Sending Stone LLC or used with permission.

You may access and use our website for ordinary personal shopping and informational purposes.

You may not reproduce, distribute, commercially exploit, or misrepresent our original protected content without appropriate permission, except as permitted by law.

Products sold through The Sending Stone may feature third-party trademarks and copyrighted material belonging to their respective owners.

All such rights remain with their owners.

References to third-party games, publishers, or trademarks do not imply sponsorship or endorsement unless expressly stated.

14. Reviews and Customer Submissions

If our website permits product reviews, photographs, comments, or other customer-submitted content, you agree to submit only content you have the right to share.

You retain ownership of your original submissions.

By voluntarily publishing content through our website, you grant The Sending Stone a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and use that content in connection with operating and promoting our services, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

You represent that your submissions do not knowingly violate the rights of others.

We may moderate or remove content that is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise violates reasonable published guidelines.

We will not suppress genuine consumer reviews merely because they express unfavorable opinions.

15. Privacy and Personal Information

Your privacy matters to us.

We collect and process information necessary to operate our website, process orders, provide customer service, and support other legitimate business purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Certain services may be provided through third-party platforms, including Shopify, payment processors, shipping providers, and fulfillment partners.

We may share information necessary to fulfill orders and provide our services, subject to applicable privacy laws.

Please review our Privacy Policy for more information about how your personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected.

16. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may contain links to external websites, applications, payment services, manufacturer pages, or other third-party resources.

These third parties may operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the independent content or practices of unrelated third-party websites.

However, when you purchase merchandise directly from The Sending Stone, we remain responsible for fulfilling our obligations to you as the seller, including applicable customer-service, refund, and consumer protection obligations.

17. Website Availability and Technical Errors

We work to keep our website accurate, secure, and accessible.

However, websites may occasionally experience interruptions, maintenance, technical errors, or service outages.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to every website feature.

We may modify, temporarily suspend, or discontinue website features when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, or business operations.

These changes will not eliminate obligations associated with previously accepted orders.

18. Warranties and Product Responsibility

Products may be covered by manufacturer warranties or other protections provided by applicable law.

Any manufacturer warranty is subject to its stated terms.

Except for express warranties and rights that cannot legally be excluded, our website and informational content are provided on an "as available" basis.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim implied warranties beyond those that legally apply to the products and services we sell.

Nothing in this section excludes warranties, remedies, or consumer protections that cannot legally be waived.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Sending Stone LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising solely from use of our website or services where such damages may lawfully be excluded.

For claims arising from a particular purchase, our liability will be limited to the amount paid for the affected product or service to the extent such a limitation is legally enforceable.

These limitations do not exclude liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot legally be excluded, personal injury where liability cannot legally be limited, or other obligations and remedies protected by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

20. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or reasonable expenses directly resulting from your unlawful use of our services, intentional misuse of our systems, or material infringement of another party's rights.

This provision does not require customers to indemnify The Sending Stone for our own negligence, misconduct, or failure to fulfill our legal obligations.

21. Disputes and Customer Support

If a problem arises, we encourage you to contact us first.

We will make reasonable efforts to investigate concerns and reach a fair resolution.

You may contact us at hello@thesendingstone.com regarding an order, refund, account issue, or other customer service matter.

Nothing in these Terms restricts your legal right to contact consumer protection agencies, dispute eligible payment card transactions, or pursue remedies available under applicable law.

22. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.

Any legal proceedings may be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction.

Nothing in these Terms deprives consumers of protections or legal venues available to them under applicable law.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, business practices, or legal obligations.

The current version will be published on our website with its effective or last-updated date.

Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.

Updated Terms will apply prospectively and will not retroactively alter the material conditions of previously accepted orders without a lawful basis.

Continued use of our website after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

24. Severability and Entire Agreement

If a provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent legally permissible.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Return & Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, and any applicable product-specific or event-specific conditions, establish the applicable agreement governing use of our online services.

Where a specific published policy provides a more favorable customer remedy, that remedy will not be reduced by a general provision in these Terms.
