Meet the Team
Adam Douglass
Owner
Adam was an electrical engineer, now turned hospitality entrepreneur - a longtime Magic: The Gathering player, and a lifelong board game enthusiast. The Twin Cities community is one of the best around, and he wanted to build something he loves to share and give back to it.
Andrew Galvez
General Manager
Andy runs the venue as our General Manager, bringing deep experience in Magic: The Gathering, Warhammer, and management. He is an unstoppable force of nature who lights up the room and makes everyone feel at home.
Manda Galvez
Media Director
Manda leads our media as Media Director, with deep experience in graphic design, branding, and social media. Her attention to detail and creativity bring any endeavor she touches to life in a way only she can.
Taylor Douglass
Hospitality Partner
Taylor helps run front-of-house as one of our hospitality partners, drawing on experience in interior design, customer service, LGBTQ+ ministry, and DM'ing. Their impeccable wit and warmth are a big reason The Sending Stone is coming to life.
The Lore
What Is a Sending Stone?
In D&D lore, sending stones are paired magic items, attuned to each other — touch one and speak, and the other carries your words to its partner across any distance. It's a metaphor for what we're building: a place that connects people through the act of playing together.
That's what we built the place around: somewhere the table is already set, the game is ready to go, and the drink in your hand is a good one.
We open in South Minneapolis in early 2027. We'll announce the address as soon as the space is locked in.
